Why we exist. What we believe. Where we're going.
In November 2021, Congress passed a 1,100-page infrastructure bill. Buried in Section 24220 was a mandate that would fundamentally change the relationship between Americans and their vehicles: every new car sold in the United States would be required to have AI surveillance technology that monitors the driver continuously and can restrict or prevent vehicle operation.
No public debate. No congressional hearings on this specific provision. No vote on this specific mandate. It was buried — and most Americans still don't know it exists.
This site exists to change that.
The government doesn't get to decide when you can drive your own vehicle.
An algorithm doesn't get to override your freedom without a hearing or appeal.
Continuous surveillance of every driver is mass surveillance, period.
Mandating networked kill switches in 276 million vehicles is a catastrophic security risk.
We are not affiliated with any political party, government agency, corporation, or special interest group. We don't receive funding from alcohol companies, automotive manufacturers, or any industry. We are not pro-drunk driving — drunk driving is already illegal, and we support enforcement of existing laws.
What we oppose is mass surveillance infrastructure mandated for every vehicle and every driver, regardless of behavior, under the guise of safety.
1,000,000 signatures. Not because a number changes the law, but because a million voices can't be ignored. When a million Americans say "no" to government-mandated vehicle surveillance, Congress has to listen.
Our specific demands:
"A decision is still being made — other than by the driver — to restrict operation of the vehicle."
